This Proverb says, “A false weight is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight. When pride comes, then comes dishonor, but with the humble is wisdom. The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the falseness of the treacherous will destroy them.”
An upright person is one who is honest and fair. This person will not cheat or lie to others for personal gain. In fact, such a person will be honest even if it hurts or puts them at disadvantage. The Bible says of the upright, “He swears to his own hurt.”
Whereas, A treacherous or wicked person will do anything for personal gain. They will cheat others and lie when it suits them.
A treacherous person is also a person who is filled with pride. This person sees themself as superior to others. Whereas, the upright person walks with humility realizing that God has provided everything for them. God will grant a humble person wisdom to conduct their affairs correctly before God during their life on Earth.
The Bible says that the Kingdom of Heaven will be opened to the humble and meek people. However, it will be closed to the prideful. The Bible also says that the prideful will be destroyed in a moment. Their destruction will be sudden and complete.
Therefore, we should always strive to walk humbly and be obedient to God. This will result in Eternal Life and joy with God in Heaven.
