In this daily Bible reading Jesus says, “I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness but shall have the light of life.” Following Jesus will reveal to us spiritual dangers and hazards that we can avoid. His light will also illuminate the pathway that we should follow.
The Bible says, “Thy Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” We receive the Light of Jesus when we read the Bible. We then can see the pathway that leads to Heaven. Additionally, we can see what is required to stay on that pathway. I believe that the Bible is essential to remain on the pathway that leads to Heaven.
The Bible says that Jesus is the ‘living Word of God.’ The Bible also says, “Jesus is the way.” He is the only way to Salvation. That ‘Way’ is only defined in the Bible. Again, I believe the Bible is essential for one’s Salvation.
