In this daily Bible reading Paul tells the Corinthian Church that ‘the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret leading to Salvation; but the sorrow of the world produces death.’ God will chastise believers for their wrongdoing, just as a father chastises his child. God disciplines us so that we will walk rightly before Him.  God’s punishment will give us an awareness of our sins so that we can repent.

The Bible says that repentance is essential to our Salvation. We must continually fight against sinning and resist temptation. We must never give ourselves over to sin.

The Bible says that ‘we must endure to the end to be saved.’ However, those who live apart from God and follow the world’s standards and guidance will not be motivated to turn away from sin. They will not link their problems to their behavior.

I believe that the AIDS epidemic was fueled by homosexual behavior. AIDS has led to much pain and death in the homosexual community. However,  AIDS has not seemed to produce a repentant attitude regarding homosexual behavior. The Bible is clear.  Homosexual behavior is a sin.

If we are given over to our sins, we will not be allowed into God’s Heaven. However, there is hope for a person who believes they are homosexual.  The sin is in the doing, not in the being.  If any person repents of their sins and asks God to help them out of a sinful life, God will help them do so.
