In this daily Bible reading Paul tells the Corinthian Church,  ”If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.” When we believe in Jesus, truly believe, we actually become new people. The Bible says that we are born again in spirit. Once we are born again we are receptive to the things of God. We then begin to be transformed or as the Bible says, sanctified to become as God wants us to become. We become vessels that will be acceptable to God and to be allowed to reside in God’s Heaven.

The Bible says that we become renewed by the transforming of our minds as we receive God’s Truths through His Word, the Bible. God’s Holy Spirit becomes our teacher so that we understand what we read. This transformation comes with many blessings. We are given the ‘Fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.’ And we start to become characterized by those traits. Our lives become full and rich. However, this transformation also comes with trials and tests of our newfound Faith. But we are enabled to endure these trials and pass these tests of our Faith.

We should enjoy our blessed life but be ready for the trails that will come our way. God’s Word, the Bible will help us prepare for those trails and pass those tests of our Faith. God’s Word, the Bible, must therefore be our ‘daily bread.’ We must read the Bible daily and strive to live our lives accordingly.
