In this daily Bible reading Paul tells the Corinthian Church, “Be on the alert, stand firm in the Faith, act like men. Be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” This is good advice for believers. Walking in Faith will require strength of mind, body and spirit.
There is a spiritual battle going on around us with the purpose of influencing how we think and act. The Bible says that Satan is the spiritual ruler of the Earth and he leads a very large demonic force to corrupt mankind. The Bible also says that Satan’s most effective tool is deception. Satan uses the world to deceive people away from following God. He has been a very effective in his efforts to lead people astray. Most of the world follows Satan’s guidance. Only a few really believe in Jesus Christ.
The Bible says that the pathway to Heaven is narrow and the entry door is small. Only a few people find it. It is a very sobering thought to know that most people are going to Hell. Therefore, we must stand firm in the Faith. We must absolutely believe that the Word of God, the Bible, is true and strive diligently and daily to lead our lives according to what the Bible says. We must then evidence our belief by our thoughts, words, and actions.
The Bible says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” The Bible also says, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” We must live our lives in obedience to these Commandments if we want to go to Heaven.
