In this daily Bible reading the Apostle John is shown a vision of ‘a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and 10 horns.’ An angel told John that the seven heads represented ‘seven kings: five have fallen, one is, and the other has yet to come.’ The angel also said that the 10 horns are 10 kings whose one purpose is to give their power and authority to ‘the beast.’ The Bible says, “These will be wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of Kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.”
The Bible says that the Roman Empire will be restored in the end times. I believe the European Community or EU will become the restored Roman Empire. I further believe the EU will be reduced to 10 nations that will unify politically. It will be led by a strong leader the Bible characterizes as ‘the beast’ or the antichrist. ‘The beast’ will be a powerful leader and have a strong military. He will also form a new religion in which he will demand to be worshiped.
I believe that Christianity will be outlawed, and many Christians will be killed. The Bible says that Jesus will return and destroy ‘the beast’ and his army. Jesus’ followers will accompany Jesus: both those who have died and those who are alive at His return. With His followers, Jesus will establish His Kingdom on Earth.
