In these passages the Psalmist says, “Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and put your trust in God.” This is the formula for a successful and fulfilled life.
Walking rightly before God takes effort. It is done with the world’s resistance because the world hates righteousness. Rather, the world prefers sin.
Walking rightly before God can only be done if one trusts God and walks according to the Word of God. The benefits of doing so may not be immediately seen or perceived. However, the benefits are extremely valuable.
One who pleases God by walking rightly before Him will live a joyful, successful and fulfilled life. This is far more valuable than the temporary physical pleasures of sin.
