This Proverb says, “An unjust man is abominable to the righteous, and he who is upright in his way is abominable to the wicked.” The world is divided between those who believe in God and those who not do not believe. Those who truly believe in God follow His ways and seek to live their lives according to the Word of God. Those who do not believe in God or reject God do not want to live their lives according to God’s guidance. They want to follow their own way.
The Bible describes those who live according to God’s Word as being righteous or upright in their ways. The Bible describes those who reject God’s guidance as being wicked. It is not surprising that the wicked people don’t like the righteous people. As this Proverb says, the righteous people are abominable to the wicked people. Conversely, the wicked people are abominable to the righteous people. There is no common ground between the two groups.
The division between the righteous and wicked will continue until Jesus returns. The Bible says that Jesus will destroy the wicked people. They will no longer be around to adversely affect those who are righteous. The world will then be populated with those who are dedicated to God and follow God’s ways.
Interestingly, the wicked would not want to live in a world that will exist under your Jesus’ rule. They would not be comfortable or happy. So, God will grant the wicked what they want, to be separated from God. Unfortunately for them, that will not be a comfortable existence.
