This Proverb says, “Sheol and Abaddon lie open before the Lord, how much more the hearts of men.”

The Bible says that God knows and sees everything here on Earth. Nothing escapes His notice. There is no place where one may hide from God.

The Bible also says that God knows our thoughts, hears our words, and sees our deeds. King David said to God in Psalm 139, “You know when I sit down and when I rise up. You understand my thoughts from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, O Lord, You know it all.”

The Bible says that God has given each of us one life to become people that He will allow into Heaven or send to Hell. He gives each one of us the tools we need to either follow the path of righteousness or a path of sin. If we choose the pathway of righteousness, God will test us to validate or reveal our true belief, even though He already knows what we truly believe.

When God makes His final judgment as to our destination, it is the evidence of our professed belief that will determine our final destination. Our deeds and decisions will reveal what God already knows. Therefore we will be without excuse. God’s judgement will be fair and just.

Therefore, if we want to go to Heaven after we die, we must tenaciously cling to the path of righteousness. To that end, it is essential that we know the Word of God and pray for God’s help to stay on the pathway to Heaven.
