In this daily Bible reading Jesus tells His disciples that at the end of the age, “The angels shall come forth, and take out the wicked from among the righteous and will cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” God will view those who do not believe in Jesus as wicked.  Their eternal destination will be Hell, which is characterized as a ‘lake of fire.’  What is interesting and sobering about Jesus’ words is that people will not die in the lake of fire.  As a result, they will feel the pain of burning for all eternity. Indeed, they will weep and gnash their teeth.

It is well worth pondering this horrible outcome if you refuse to believe the exclusiveness of Jesus Christ as the only way to Heaven. The Bible clearly tells us that Jesus is the only way to Salvation, the only way to Heaven. People who refuse to believe this reject the Bible as Truth. However, if a person seriously examines the Bible and its content, they will conclude that God inspired the Bible.

The Bible was written over a period of 1500 years by 40 authors who ranged from kings to peasants. It contains 66 books that have a cohesive theme of God’s redemption of mankind. The Bible has over 300 prophecies about Jesus, which can be proved to predate Jesus. Many have been precisely fulfilled.  This is a mathematical impossibility. Consider these things before you reject the Bible. The risk is too great.
