In this daily Bible reading is Jesus’ age when He began His ministry on Earth. The Bible says, “When He began his ministry, Jesus Himself was about 30 years old.” The Bible indicates that Jesus’ ministry lasted about three years. So, He was crucified at approximately the age of 33. In the year 2033 it will have been about 2000 years since Jesus was crucified and raised from the dead.
The Bible says that ‘to God a thousand years is as a day and a day as a thousand years.’ So, in God’s time it has been about two days since Jesus was murdered on a Roman cross. Jesus was raised from the dead on the ‘third day.’
The Bible speaks of the coming ‘Day of the Lord.’ The Bible also speaks of Jesus’ ‘Millennial Kingdom.’ When Jesus returns, He will be King of the Earth for 1000 years. I believe that the Millennial Kingdom will be ‘the third day.’
Therefore, I believe that Jesus’ return is very near. The time is short. Now is the time to prepare ourselves.
