In this daily Bible reading is the account of Jesus’ crucifixion with two criminals. One of the criminals was insulting Jesus. However, the other acknowledged that Jesus was the Christ and the future King of Israel. He appealed to Jesus to remember him when Jesus came into His Kingdom. Jesus then told that criminal he would be with Jesus in Paradise that very day.

The criminal believed in Jesus and was saved. Fortunately for this criminal, he did not have to endure in his belief very long. He did not have to face trials that might pull him away from belief. Evidently, though, his heart was prepared to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior. That was the key to his Salvation.
