In this daily Bible reading Jesus answers the question, “Lord, are there just a few being saved?” Jesus said, “Strive to enter by the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and not be able.” Jesus added in the book of Matthew, “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” I do not think that churches today are teaching this sobering fact: Most people are going to Hell.
The Bible says that it is ‘difficult to be saved’ and that we must ‘work out our salvation with fear and trembling.’ We must persevere in obeying God according to His Word.
I believe the Bible is essential to one’s salvation. The Bible is our only true source of guidance on how to live our lives. We must read and study the Bible, daily. We must then apply it to our lives, praying for God’s help in so doing.
