In this daily Bible reading Jesus tells His disciples to “ask,” “seek,” and “knock” with persistence; and God will answer their prayers. The Bible says that we are to pray to God continuously in our daily lives. Our prayers do not need to be long and arduous. They can be short and to the point, keeping God central in our lives. They should remind us of our total reliance on God.

The Bible says, “Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” Having total reliance on God is very comforting and removes anxiety. It is comforting to know that whatever happens in my life, good or bad, is a result of God’s will for me.

However, that does not mean that we do not have part to play. We must make our decisions and act according to what the Bible tells us to do. Then, we can confidently trust God for the outcome.
