In this daily Bible reading are God’s instructions to Moses regarding the diagnosis and treatment of leprosy in people and in houses. God told Moses how to recognize leprosy that was still contagious and leprosy that was cured. God also instructed Moses on the sacrifices to atone for the leprosy once it had been cured.
Again, I conclude that leprosy was a result of sin in one’s life, just as many diseases today are the result of sin in people’s lives. AIDS is a good example of this, as it is mostly the consequence of homosexual sin.
Regarding homosexuality, the sin is not in being homosexual. Rather, the sin is in performing homosexual acts. The Bible says that we are all sinners. I am tempted to sin in ways that perhaps you may not be tempted to sin. It is easy for me to reject homosexual acts. However, there are other sins that are difficult for me to avoid.
Whatever our temptations may be, we must resist. We may slip occasionally. However, we must never give ourselves over to our temptations and live in our sins.
The Bible says that we will be forgiven for our occasional sins. However, giving ourselves over to sin will result in our spiritual death. The Bible says that if we do so, we will be condemned to an eternity in Hell.
