In these passages, Jesus says, “He who loves his life loses it; and he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal.” We must therefore turn away from worldly things and embrace things that have eternal value.
The Bible says that if we prosper with material wealth and money, we must not set our hearts on it. We must hold our wealth or our worldly possessions very loosely. Otherwise, our possessions will control us.
The Bible also says you will love either money or God. You cannot love both. If you love money more than God, then money will become your master. This will not lead to life. Rather, It will lead to spiritual death, separated from God.
