In this daily Bible reading Jeremiah again prophesies about the end times, which I believe are coming very soon. God says, through Jeremiah speaking to Israel: “Oh Jacob, My servant, do not fear, declares the Lord. For I am with you. For I shall make a full end of all the nations were I have driven you; but I shall correct you properly And by no means leave you unpunished.” Today Jews are scattered throughout the world, and they have not been treated well in most places.
During World War II Hitler massacred 6 million Jews. Today, Jews are hated by the Arab nations. However, today they are returning to Israel from all around the world. Indeed, God has punished and corrected Israel for its transgressions against God. But God did not totally abandon them.
Just as this prophecy is being fulfilled by the return of the Jews to Israel, it will also be fulfilled by God making an end to all of the nations where the Jews were driven. All nations will cease to exist as nation-states, and the people will serve one King, Jesus Christ. Jesus will return to establish His Kingdom here on Earth. Jesus’ throne will be in Jerusalem. Events are now happening that will result in this glorious event.
