Hebrews 1:1-14

The author of the book of Hebrews is debatable. However, I believe that the Apostle Paul wrote this book. Hebrews is a very powerful book. The beginning of Hebrews says that God spoke to people through His appointed Prophets. However, when Jesus came into the world as a man, God spoke to the people through Jesus.

The Bible says that Jesus is the living Word of God. So, God now speaks to us through the Word of God. God provided us with His Word by inspiring a book called the Bible. The Bible was written over a period of 1500 years. It contains 66 books written by 40 authors who range from Kings to peasants.

The Bible details God’s plans for the redemption of mankind. It is a wonderfully consistent story that tells of man’s fall from fellowship with God because of sin. The Bible details God’s plan to restore this fellowship with God through one person, Jesus Christ. Much of the Bible was written before Jesus came into the world. This portion of the Bible is called the Old Testament.

The Old Testament contains over 300 prophecies that point to Jesus. Many of these prophecies have been fulfilled with precise accuracy. It is mathematically impossible for these prophecies to have been precisely fulfilled. This fact provides ample evidence that God inspired the Bible. It is miraculous.

The Bible tells us how to live our lives so that God will allow us into Heaven. We therefore need to embrace the Bible and read it daily so that we can live rightly before God.
