In these passages is the account of the evil plot of Haman being turned back on him. Haman and all his sons were hanged on the gallows that Haman had prepared for Mordecai. The King then placed Mordecai over the house of Haman, and empowered the Jewish population of Persia to fight against those who were going to destroy them.
The Jewish population was preserved, and the evil plot against them was foiled. The Bible says of those who devise evil against the righteous that their evil schemes will fall on them. They will fall into the pit that they dug for others. If we live rightly before God, He will protect and preserve us. We simply need to trust in God.
The Bible says: “Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” This passage is so very comforting, for it removes anxiety from a believer.
The world attacks and mocks believers. These attacks will increase as the ‘end times’ approach. However, believers can have comfort in knowing God will preserve them. Evil will not overcome them if they focus on the Lord and walk rightly before Him.
