This Proverb says, “Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” One of the benefits of the Church is that those within the Church strengthen one another’s Faith in Jesus. Sustaining one’s Faith for a lifetime is a difficult task at times. Therefore, believers may need help from other believers to sustain that Faith.
Members of the Church can encourage one another to persevere in their Faith even when a situation may seem hopeless. Members of the Church can also pray for others in the Church who need help.
Prayer is very effective. The Bible says, “The prayer of a righteous man avails much.” A righteous man is a person who lives their life according to the Word of God, the Bible. Therefore, their prayers are likely to be in accordance with God’s Word. The Bible says that God will hear and answer such a person’s prayers.
Praying to God to strengthen the Faith of a fellow believer who is having a difficult time in their life is in accordance with the Bible. That prayer will likely be heard and answered.
It takes Faith in God to believe that God will hear our prayers. However, the Bible says that is what God desires of us. God will then help us to grow and strengthen our Faith.
