This Proverb says, “House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.” What does prudent mean? The dictionary defines prudent as acting with or showing care and thought for the future.
How then would a would a prudent wife act or conduct her affairs within a marriage? A prudent wife would be one who does not spend money foolishly or excessively. A prudent wife would be thrifty, getting the most out of money spent. She would seek bargains. She would also not be wasteful.
A prudent wife would manage their household well and produce comfort and efficiency in a home. A prudent wife is indeed a blessing from the Lord.
I am fortunate to have a prudent wife, and I recognize her true value. I thank God for her every day.
