This is a Psalm of thanksgiving to God. God created everything. He created us and is worthy of our praise and thanksgiving. The Psalmist says, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with pride. Give thanks to Him; bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting. And his faithfulness to all generations.”
Giving Praise to God does not come naturally for we sinful human beings. It must be cultivated and practiced within each of us. However, when we realize that God really did create everything, we begin to appreciate the beauty of His creation even more. Praising God for his beautiful creation is easy to do as we appreciate a beautiful sunrise or sunset.
As we learn more about the amazing processes that sustain life here on Earth, it becomes easy to praise God. Realizing the miracles of our human body and the systems that must support our lives also makes praising God easy to do. Indeed, God is worthy and deserving of our praise and thanksgiving. We should praise Him frequently.
