In this daily Bible reading is the account of Samuel being born and dedicated by his mother, Hannah, to serve the Lord under the Priest, Eli, in Shiloh. After she dedicated her son, Samuel, to the Lord she prayed a prayer of praise and thanksgiving to God.
In her inspired words she said “…with Him, actions are weighed.” While it is true we will be held accountable for the words we speak, it is our actions that God will judge. It is our actions that will lead us to Heaven or lead us to Hell.
Our actions are the result of thoughts within us. Good thoughts will produce good actions. Bad thoughts will produce bad actions. It is as simple as that. We must therefore be filled with good thoughts The only way to do that is to be close to Jesus Christ.
We must believe in Jesus and live our lives according to the Word of God. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the living Word of God. Therefore, it is important to read the Bible regularly if we want to stay close to Jesus.
